Due to the May 25, 2018 implementation of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the amount that has been about privacy and protection of private information has been staggering. Having retired from the law enforcement community, Digital Numismatics supports and is am aware of the issues. Digital Numismatics very much supports the regulation. Therefore, Digital Numismatics is updating its privacy policy like everyone else should have done.
Digital Numismatics Blog Privacy Policy
This privacy policy has been written to help those who are value how their “Personally Identifiable Information” is being used by Digital Numismatics and its blog host. Personally Identifiable Information is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, locate, or contact a person, or to identify an individual in context. By reading further you will understand how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with the Digital Numismatics Blog.
What personal information does the Digital Numismatics collect?
In normal operations, Digital Numismatics does not collect personal information other than what is necessary in calculating and in measuring performance. This information is used only to monitor performance and to flag what interest’s readers.

How does Digital Numismatics use the information?
Information collected for tracking and performance is stored in house on a private database and only accessible when reading reports. These reports are not published, distributed or sold to any third party.
How is your information protected?
Digital Numismatics uses a third-party service to scan for vulnerabilities and ensure that software used behind the website is up to date. Scans and other security measures are set to the Payment Card Industry’s (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS).
Digital Numismatics site only provides articles and information. It will never be asked for credit card, financial data.
Digital Numismatics is hosted by GoDaddy.com an Internet Service Provider (ISP) who maintains the systems and hosts the site. The ISP has an active continuous monitoring program and web master. The third-party spam monitor and weekly newsletter service maintains the information about those services separately from the Digital Numismatics site.

Digital Numismatics does use cookies. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. Digital Numismatics uses cookies to compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that it can offer a better site experiences and tools that may be used in the future. CAN SPAM Act
The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for web site emails, establishes requirements for commercial messages and gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them.
